CDHS is happy to announce more than 300,000 eligible students will receive increased access to nutritious meals during the summer months through participation in the Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (Summer EBT) program.
March 5, 2024: Colorado’s Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) has received a record number of applications this winter heating season. As of February, more than 112,000 Coloradans have applied for the program, a 4.4% increase over last season.
From February 2023 through January 2024, 50% of children and youth placed in foster care had their initial placement with kinship caregivers. This is the first time Colorado’s child welfare system has hit this milestone.
