The Division of Regional Centers (DRC) offers comprehensive services and supports for adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in community-based group homes located in the Denver metro, southern and Western Slope regions of Colorado.
Homes of learning, life and love
Many people carry the false belief that the Regional Centers are institutional centers. In reality, they are a collection of community-based homes with person-centered environments, integrated with the community and focused on getting individuals back into the community of their choice. Additionally, there are administrative offices and learning centers that help with these resident supports.
Communities of equality, encouragement and enrichment
These group homes are short-term residential settings for adult individuals with IDD who need additional support to stabilize and return to community residential settings.
Goals of safety, skillfulness and shaping
The primary goal of the Regional Centers is to support individuals in gaining skills and abilities to reintegrate safely and stably back into the community of their choice.
