CDHS opens 22 mental health beds to serve competency patients

Nov. 7, 2023: The Office of Civil and Forensic Mental Health is opening a new 22-bed unit at the Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Fort Logan to serve Coloradans in need of competency restoration treatment.

Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Pueblo re-opening 39 mental health beds

DENVER (July 20, 2023) — The Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Pueblo (CMHHIP) announced that 39 additional mental health beds will open this month, following bed closures due to the effects of the pandemic in early 2020. These beds will allow the hospital to serve approximately 117 more Coloradans per year.
