April 28, 2025: CDHS is proud to once again help more than a half-million Colorado students purchase healthy foods during the summer months when schools are not in session.

April 18, 2025: The Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) is leading the State’s efforts to improve and develop resources to support all Coloradans as we age, which includes developing the first-ever Multi-Sector Plan on Aging.

Eligible Coloradans still have time to get help to pay a portion of their home heating bills. April 30 is the last day to apply for Colorado’s Low-income Energy Assistance Program.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

March 14, 2025: After serving the State of Colorado for 30 years, including as the director of the Division of Youth Services within the Colorado Department of Human Services for the past nine years, Anders Jacobson plans to retire on May 1.

CDHS is dedicated to improving the safety, independence and well-being of families across the state through programs such as the Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline, Child Support Services and Adult Protective Services.

CDHS's MINDSOURCE Brain Injury Network is celebrating March as Brain Injury Awareness Month, which focuses on prevention and how communities can support people living with brain injuries.

Feb. 12, 2025: Colorado is the best state in the nation for people with disabilities, according to a recent study conducted by the AAA State of Play.

In advance of National Energy Assistance Day this Friday, CDHS reminds residents statewide that they may be eligible for assistance to pay a portion of their home heating bills this winter, as well as lower their energy costs for years to come.
