Colorado Expands Access for People with Disabilities, Celebrating 25 Years of Progress

DENVER, CO – Nov. 10, 2025 – The Colorado Division for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind (CDDHHDB) celebrated its 25th anniversary, the 35th anniversary of Relay Colorado, and the launch of the Communication Services for People with Disabilities Enterprise.

State Requests Full SNAP Food Assistance Funding for November 

DENVER (Nov. 7, 2025) — Today, the State will submit to its Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) payment vendor a request for SNAP participants to receive full payments for November. The vendor will work in the coming hours to get those dollars from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and load payments onto Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards. Should this request go through, more than 600,000 Coloradans who rely on SNAP to help purchase healthy food will begin receiving full payments for the month of November, the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) announced.

CDHS Celebrates Four Colorado Adoptive Families and 658 Adoptions in 2024

DENVER (Nov. 05, 2025) — In honor of National Adoption Month, the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) is celebrating four remarkable families who have adopted children and youth from foster or kinship care. These families were nominated because of their dedication, kindness and support for the children and young people in their care by Colorado county departments of human services and child placement agencies.

Celebration to Honor Foster Youth who are Shaping Policy in Colorado

DENVER (Sept. 24, 2025) — Young people in Colorado who have been in foster care or interacted with state youth services are making a real difference. Their lived expertise helps shape important policies like the Sibling Bill of Rights, Foster Youth Bill of Rights and the Rights for Youth in Division of Youth Service Facilities.

The third annual Colorado Foster Youth Voice Celebration honors their impact.
