County Engagement

County North Star Project

North Star ProjectIn September 2024, the CDHS County Satisfaction Survey was sent to County Directors to solicit feedback on the following: Communication strategies, CDHS leadership and CDHS programs. Based on this feedback, a county engagement action plan was created to address communication standardization, meeting efficiency and training enhancements which all led to the development of the 2025 County North Star Project.

The 2025 County North Star Project, developed by Community Partnerships (CP), aimed to establish a holistic and strategic framework for managing all county-focused initiatives at CDHS. This endeavor promoted accountability for CDHS's commitments, based on county feedback and results, while simultaneously strengthening trust, transparency and collaboration.

Since the County North Star project began in January 2025, improvements have been evident not only within the CP team, but also across the entire department.
