Seeking applications for positions on Colorado Child Support Commission

March 12, 2025 — The Colorado Department of Human Services is seeking passionate individuals with experience with the child support system to serve on the Child Support Commission.

The commission is tasked with reviewing the child support guidelines used to calculate a parent’s child support obligation every four years and making other legislative recommendations to improve the efficacy and responsiveness of the program. Commissioners are appointed to four-year terms and the commission currently meets virtually once per month.

The commission, which is appointed by the governor, is currently looking for members for the following positions:

  • Representatives of the judiciary and Colorado Bar Association
  • Directors of county departments of human services and social services
  • Certified public accountant
  • Parents currently or formerly owing child support 
  • Other interested parties
