July 1, 2025 — The Veterans Community Living Center Board of Commissioners is currently seeking applicants to fill an open position on the seven-member board. Positions are appointed by the governor, and members serve for four years. The deadline to apply for this vacancy is July 25.

Candidates must be Colorado residents and meet these two criteria:

The functions of the board are to:

  • Provide continuity, predictability and stability in the operation of the veterans centers; and
  • Provide guidance to future administrators at the veterans centers based on the collective institutional memory of the board.

Board members meet quarterly for 2-3 hours per meeting. Meetings are held virtually and/or at veterans homes throughout Colorado.

CDHS values broad representation of stakeholders and the public. Military veterans are encouraged to apply. To apply, fill out the Boards and Commissions Application Form by July 25.
