DENVER (Aug. 28, 2020) - Today, an error occurred, causing the temporary inactivation of Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards for 4,710 benefit recipients in Colorado. The error has been corrected, and the cards have been reactivated.

During the inactivations, benefits on those EBT cards were inaccessible for several hours. Clients who attempted to use their card and then went to a county human services office to get a replacement card can use either their original card or the replacement. Clients who want to verify that their card is active may call the IVR phone number on the back of their card. Other questions, such as checking a card\'s balance, may be directed to 1.888.328.2656.

We strive to provide the best service possible and apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused clients.
