About legal service
Legal service (sometimes described as legal process) refers to the process where one party to a legal claim must notify the other party to the legal claim if actions are taken against them in a court of law. This includes service of subpoenas to produce or to testify.
CDHS recognizes that persons have a need to lawfully serve documents on CDHS. This procedure ensures that legal documents are accepted in a manner that promotes efficiency and accuracy, ensures legal documents are handled properly and get to the correct people, and aligns with the hybrid work environment for CDHS employees.
