The Child Welfare Prevention Task Group will focus on prevention services/programs that intersect with child welfare to prevent further involvement/penetration into the child welfare system and prevent out-of-home placement. The group will help create and maintain a prevention continuum, draft prevention or other rules as appropriate. The task group may also review and provide feedback to the statewide child maltreatment prevention plan. The task group reports to the Child Welfare SubPAC. The group meets on the second Friday of the month. Although the public is welcome to attend, members of the task group are appointed. Representatives of county departments, early childhood, community-based organizations and other stakeholders make up the membership.
