The Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) is submitting a grant for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 EPA Brownfield Cleanup Grant for the former Grand Junction Regional Center (GJRC) located at 2800 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501.

Cleanup Grants under the EPA Brownfields Program address one brownfield site or multiple brownfield sites contaminated by hazardous substances, pollutants, contaminants (including hazardous substances co-mingled with petroleum), and/or petroleum.

The goal of the cleanup project is to remove environmental hazards, reduce risks to human health and the environment, and prepare the property for safe transfer and future reuse.
