CDHS's Office of Adult, Aging and Disability Services fosters independence to Coloradans through access to seamless and responsive personalized service. The office focuses on services and programs benefiting older adults, people with disabilities, and veterans and veterans’ spouses requiring skilled nursing and domiciliary care. The following programs serve older adults in Colorado.

Adult Protective Services

Adult Protective Services investigates allegations of physical and sexual abuse, caretaker neglect, exploitation and harmful acts, and self-neglect of at-risk adults in Colorado.

State Unit on Aging

The State Unit on Aging serves older Coloradans with aging and disability resources, nutrition services, legal assistance, support services, employment services and caregiver support.

Veterans Community Living Centers

Colorado's five Veterans Community Living Centers (VCLCs) serve honorably discharged veterans, their spouses/widows, and Gold Star parents of children who died while serving in the armed forces.
