With thousands of Coloradans losing their jobs as a result of the #COVID19 crisis, there is a growing need for food assistance. Need help purchasing food for your family during COVID-19? The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) offers #food assistance benefits to #Colorado residents as part of a federal #nutrition program to help low-income households. Details https://bit.ly/2zTdNT1
The @USDA is warning #SNAP recipients to be on the lookout for potential scammers using the #COVID19 situation to steal personal information. If you are unsure if a request for information is legitimate, contact your county SNAP office.
When you're shopping for groceries, please be mindful about buying products labeled for WIC (the Women, Infants and Children food program). WIC recipients can use their benefits only on approved products. If you can, please choose a label or option that isn't designated for WIC.

Because of school closures, there are fewer mandatory reporters paying attention for signs of child abuse and neglect. We all must all step up and watch out for kids. The Colorado Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline is 1-844-CO-4-KIDS. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911.
