Minimum qualifications: 4 years minimum experience with steam plant operation and maintenance and possess a valid stationary engineer license “A” or equivalent. Or be currently participating or have completed a Facility Approved training program or equivalent specific to steam high or low pressure boiler operation and maintenance. Training program must be complete within 12 months of hire. Appropriate education or successful completion of a formalized apprenticeship program will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Perform preventive maintenance on equipment of all types, which includes but is not limited to: cleaning, oiling and greasing, making necessary adjustments, and finding potential problems. Order parts and supplies, including providing specs and guidance to nutritional services staff with ordering of new equipment. Keep inventory of needed replacement parts. Assist in the installation and set-up of new equipment.
