Director, Office of Economic Security
Denver

Job description: This position provides collaborative internal and external leadership and direction for one of the department’s key offices — the Office of Economic Security — which is responsible for monitoring cash, food, energy and other assistance programs in Colorado so that all Coloradans can thrive.

Minimum qualifications: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; and eight years of experience leading managerial staff and supervising a complex, diverse professional workforce that must have included: being the external voice and face of an organization, establishing organizational structure, developing and implementing strategic work plans, budget development and control, achieving program results, and fostering an inclusive work and team environment.  

Salary: $160,000 to $170,000 annually

Program Accountant
Denver

Job description: This position generates, compiles, analyzes and interprets all the accounting and reporting functions for state and federal program. The position will be responsible for understanding and maintaining the accounts and records in CORE, the state accounting system.

Minimum qualifications: Six years of professional accounting experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting and two years of professional accounting experience. (Current, valid licensure as a CPA by the Colorado Board of Accountancy will substitute for the degree requirement and two years of the professional accounting experience.)

Operations and Analysis Manager

Job description: This is a high-level professional position with responsibility for the development, oversight and management of the strategic and day-to-day operations of this section with responsibility for diverse areas of effort within the Division of Economic and Workforce Support.

Minimum qualifications: 

Nine years of professional experience leading a work unit, including public sector budget or contract management and program evaluation, design and development; or graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in  human services, public administration, social work, political science, psychology, sociology, business or a closely related field and five years of professional experience leading a work unit, including public sector budget or contract management and program evaluation, design and development.

Salary: $90,180 to $117,000 annually

Employee and Labor Relations Specialist
Denver and Pueblo

Job description: The purpose of this position is to support the department by utilizing the internal processes to manage Employee and Labor Relations situations. This includes reviewing employee and labor relation situations, reaching out to employees to gather details of situations, speaking to other employees who may have participated in the situation, and speaking to the attorney general to get legal guidance as applicable.

Minimum qualifications: Six years of full-time professional human resources generalist and/or business partner experience providing guidance to leaders and employees with employee and/or labor relations situations; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in human resources, business administration, workforce development, employment law, organizational management, legal studies and/or labor studies and two years of full-time professional human resources generalist and/or business partner experience providing guidance to leaders and employees with employee and/or labor relations situations.

Salary: $53,484 to $78,276 annually

Employment & Training Regional Representative

Job description: This position exists to provide more efficient and cost-effective ways to serve needy families, and exists to ensure the appropriateness of services delivered by county departments of human services in the Employment First and Colorado Works workforce development programs.

Minimum qualifications: Six years of professional experience working in employment programs such as the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Colorado Works, SNAP Employment and Training (Employment First), ReHire Colorado, or comparable programs; or graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in human services, public administration, business, social work, sociology, organizational development or a closely related field and two years of the above-listed experience.

Marketing and Communications Specialist III
Pueblo

Job description: This position assists to communicate effectively and consistently with approximately 1,200 staff members, patient family members, the general community, media, and department leadership at the Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Pueblo. This position is responsible for internal communications duties, including the development of newsletters, staff emails, EDI communication products, town hall management, talking points, presentations and staff text alerts.

Minimum qualifications: A bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, communications or a directly related field; and two years of marketing and communications experience.

Accountant I (Veterans Community Living Center)

Job description: This position completes accounts-receivable work for this 180-bed nursing home. This includes billing private accounts, Medicaid, hospice, Medicare parts A and B, as well as any other third-party insurers and supplemental insurance policies tied to the Medicare billings.

Minimum qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in accounting.

Salary: $46,296 to $67,740 annually
